About our tension settings.
Tension setting is one of the most attractive ways to display a fine center stone as it allows more light to reflect through it. Each Tension set ring is custom made for a specific stone size and finger size, and is available in 14kt, 18kt white, yellow or rose gold and Platinum.
From 10 points to 10 carats the intense pressure of the setting holds your gem on 2 sides, allowing a full profile view of the center stone. No other type of setting allows this much of the center stone to be seen.
First invented over 40 years ago, Tension rings are certainly in a league of their own. Up to 95 pounds of pressure is applied to the diamond. Prongs have on average only 12 pounds of pressure.
